Coal Dust Free Brisbane Morningside Public Health Forum

Clean Air Queensland (CAQ) is holding two events this month to spread the word about the health effects of coal dust and the urgent need to get coal wagons and coal stockpiles covered to protect our communities.

On Saturday, May 24 CAQ is hosting a public health forum at the Uniting Church 43 Thynne Street, Morningside from 3 pm - 4.30 pm. Speakers will include the Lock the Gate Alliance national president, Drew Hutton and health experts from Doctors for the Environment. All welcome and no need to RSVP.

This will follow a door-knocking event on Sunday, May 18 from 1 pm in Morningside when residents will help CAQ undertake a community survey of locals feeling and seeing the effects of uncovered coal trains in their neighbourhoods.

Anyone interested in helping out with the survey or needing more information about the forum should contact Michael Kane on email at [email protected] or Ph: 0438 766 230
