Monitoring study

Clean Air Queensland is currently undertaking a community air quality monitoring project.

We aim to find out what the particulate pollution levels are in areas where coal infrastructure (rails, mines, stockpiles) is close to residential areas. The first part of this study will look at the pollution levels at the coal stockpile adjacent to the town of Jondaryan.

Our study has been designed with advice from air quality and health experts. The design can be found here.

Our new report 'Off the Scale: Peak pollution events at the Jondaryan stockpile' can be found here.

Where do you get more information/sign up for the following….
“We are using the same Osiris dust monitors used in the last study and are looking for people to assist who can give 4 or more hours a week. Volunteers will be trained to become community scientists and use the Osiris monitoring equipment to collect data on passing coal trains. No experience is necessary.” Please ?
