Clean Air Queensland is an alliance of community groups and individuals concerned about the health impacts of coal dust.

The Queensland Government is supporting a massive expansion of coal mining in South East Queensland. If all the current mining proposals are allowed to go ahead, coal train traffic through Brisbane and Ipswich will double. This will spread even more coal dust through our suburbs, schools and homes. Breathing in coal dust has serious health implications - including respiratory diseases and premature death. In fact, according to the Australian Medical Association, more Australians die from particle pollution each year than from car crashes.
